William Anderson, Attorney



Mr. Anderson is a 1968 graduate of the University of Massachusetts and a 1971 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law. Following law school he did field research for the Commission on the Bankruptcy Laws of the United States. He then practiced law in Connecticut and Delaware before taking a position in York in 1979. In 1981 he became one of the founding partners of Anderson, Converse and Fennick.

Mr. Anderson concentrates his practice in the areas of Consumer Bankruptcy (York and Adams counties) and Social Security & S.S. I. Disability. He has lectured for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute in the area of Consumer Bankruptcy and has taught courses in the paralegal programs at Penn. State University (York campus) and York College. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, York County Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives.

Mr. Anderson principally practices in the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Middle District of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and the Harrisburg Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (ODAR) and the Appeals Council of the Social Security Administration. He has also litigated both Bankruptcy and Social Security cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Mr. Anderson resides with his wife, son, and their cats in Spring Garden Township.
