Steve Converse, Attorney



Stephen D. Converse has been practicing law since l975. He is a graduate of the National Law Center at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar. He practiced with Florida Rural Legal Services in Belle Glade, FL prior to moving to Pennsylvania in 1977.

Mr. Converse was a staff attorney with Central PA Legal Services in York from 1977 until 1981 when he joined with Dan Fennick and Bill Anderson in forming the firm of Anderson, Converse, and Fennick.

Mr. Converse has a background in general practice including real estate, domestic, and criminal law, however has concentrated exclusively in the field of immigration and nationality law since l997, representing clients before administrative examiners and immigration judges in York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Boston, New York, and Arlington, VA, as well as the Board of Immigration Appeals. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Mr. Converse has been an active member of the Philadelphia chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and has presented at several AILA and PBI sponsored symposiums and other conferences over the past 10 years.
